Many of you are familiar with our wall mounted houseplants. In their native environment these plants naturally grow on the trunks of trees and are therefore prime candidates to be attached onto pieces of bark. Join us in this workshop to learn the process of mounting a plant, our recommended care, and of course take home a uniquely 'potted' plant to add to your collection!

Learn the art of bonsai by designing and planting your own miniaturized garden scene featuring plants that have unique growth characteristics enabling them to be shaped into miniature trees. 

Additionally, learn pruning and training techniques to develop the unique form and shape of traditional bonsai trees and how to maintain your bonsai planting for years.

Explore the youth-like whimsy of creating a miniature plant world within a glass vessel. We will cover the importance of proper soil, layering of materials, care and maintenance. In this workshop you will be building a terrarium to last using foliage plants and living moss or cactus and succulents as an arid planting.

The never-ending quandary of how to display your hanging houseplants ends here! Join us in this brand new macrame plant hanger workshop taught by local artist Mercedes from MerMade Macrame, where you will learn the knots and patterns that it takes to create your very own customized plant hanger. At the end of this workshop take home a completed piece to display in your space. Happy Hour beverages and light snacks provided.

Textile artist Katie Browne of BOX ELEVEN guides you through the process of fabric dyeing using locally harvested botanicals. In this workshop you will learn the amazing technique of bundle dyeing on natural fabric using locally grown and harvested flowers! Guests will leave with 2 dyed items, all materials provided.
